Wasn't there a "Version Information" section when you scrolled down the page? Click that, then the "See complete version history" link <https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/lightning/versions/>, then scroll down until you find the version for SeaMonkey 2.40.


Does every new SeaMonkey 2.40 user now need to go to:
<https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Calendar/Calendar_Versions>
and load 4.5b1 (Beta) directly now?

Not if they know to look under "Version Information", but it's a good link to bookmark.
