It's not just you. There is a trend for bloated nonsense in the software world. There are several factors: * Web sites are more bloated than ever. Consider all the JavaScript, the large images, and buzzwords like "responsive design". All of these require resources. * The backend (Gecko) is also bigger. Every year, new standards are published, and web browsers rush to implement them. * Corollary: in the mad rush to implement features, things get hacked together without much thought/testing and quality suffers. (I'm not knocking SeaMonkey or Mozilla developers in particular. This problem affects the wider software community.) Is there a fix to stop the cycle? I don't know. --Kyle -- The computer can't tell you the emotional story. It can give you the exact mathematical design, but what's missing is the eyebrows. - Frank Zappa _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
