I don't know if this will help you, but I was having problems with SM 2.40 playing videos on Twitter. I upgraded to version 2.47a2, and now all the videos play perfectly. You can get the install packages here: (For both Linux and Windows.) https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-aurora/ Be advised, this is the Alpha testing channel of Seamonkey. But, I have not had any problems with this build.
