this is almost exactly what I did to fix the crashing problem, except I
reverted to a system backup from before installing KB3107868, then installed
KB3197867, the "security only" November update rollup for Windows 7. Then I
installed Seamonkey 2.47 - Seamonkey is not crashing anymore.
