I'm not able to see ESPN videos on espn.com. I turned off Adblock
Plus,
and the short ad plays before the video. Then it goes black and says
can't download the video. It works fine with IE. Help?
I've been unable to get most videos to play in any existing profile
with
any version of SM or FF. Safe mode doesn't help here either.
However, I
have no problem playing with any version of SM or FF as long as I
use a
virgin profile. I asked for help on irc://moznet/#firefox yesterday
about this using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0pOndzESnY as the
example but made no progress determining what it could be in old
profiles that could be causing this.
That YouTube video plays ok for me, as does CNN and Fox Sports videos.
I have been using the following URL:

http://www.espn.com/watchespn/player/_/gameId/400869702/channel/espn/size/condensed/

1. Permit ESPN in Adblock

2. Log in to my video provider - Verizon FiOS

The menu at that URL cujrrently lists about 25 games: football,
basketball, volleyball, etc. Plenty to choose from

Watched my almamater Ohio State beat Michigan earlier this afternoon. Go
Bucks!!

That does help us view the highlight videos on the main page
<http://www.espn.com/>

I still get no videos after signing in with Time Warner. The page does
not connect - just stuck as a white page (on 2 PC's).

I can watch the streaming content at watchespn.com, but I have the same problem with highlights on espn.com: the ad plays, then black screen before eventually the message "Could not download the video" appears. No problem with youtube or pretty much anyplace else.
