To expand on what Walt said, you will only lose your history[1], but you can restore all your other settings such as save passwords, site permissions, browsing preferences, and all your mail accounts with data if POP! Hardly crippling your profile! [1]If you had any decent backup, you could restore your places.sqlite db file from backup before you upgraded.
