Just 'tar xf foo.tar.bz2' and it's functional.
I just move the tarball's from Downloads to the folder I want them in,
right click and select Extract Here. On KDE I could just leave it in the
Downloads folder and use Extract Archive to, select the folder and all done.
Back in the old days I vaguely remember a command line method, but that
was before I learned you don't have to use the terminal for most things
you do on Linux.
