Install the Signature Switch extension. It allows you to have a folder on your PC with multiple signature files. You can designate one file to be the global default but select a different file to be the default for specific E-mail addressees or specific newsgroups. There is a button on my composition window. If I select the button itself, my signature is deleted from the message I am composing; if I select it again, my signature is restored to the message. To the right of the button is a small down-pointing triangle. If I select that triangle, I can override whatever default would be used as a signature. Get Signature Switch from <http://mozext.achimonline.de/>. Note well: Mozilla is working towards eliminating extensions as we know them and replacing them with Chrome's Webextensions. It is not known how many extension developers will redevelop their extensions accordingly.
