My old XP run computer finally died. Previous Post on this News Group.

I bought a used Business Computer with Windows & Professional on it.

However, being a SeaMonkey Fan for YEARS - I loaded and am running SeaMonkey 2.46 now.

Can I use the Control Panel's "Add/Remove" to safely remove FireFox w/o now harming my SeaMonkey program ?

I wonder because they are Both Mozilla and may now share things between them.

It's safe to remove -- there's no sharing.

Although it's not something that you'll want to do, it's actually possible to install multiple versions of Firefox on the same computer (e.g., 32 and 64 bit versions, or current version, and most recent beta). Each installation has its own location in the Program Files folder, and there isn't any sharing, even among Firefox versions. If you do something like that, the only limitation is that you don't want both installed versions running simultaneously, if they're accessing the same user profile.

I have a virtual machine that I use for testing, where I have multiple installs of Firefox active (current version and latest beta), and there's no problem with having both.

For you, if you're a Seamonkey user, feel free to toast all your Firefox installations, and it won't affect your Seamonkey installation.
