which I built myself from the comm-beta.
I am getting an error on a download which only happens in my default
profile, not if I create a new one. How can I find out what the error is?
I launched seamonkey from a terminal windows and there is no error
displayed.
I tried this:
seamonkey --devtools --jsdebugger --jsconsole
but couldn't see anything relevant.
Richmond, did you have a look at the Error Console?? Tools->Web
Development->Error Console.
It may tell you something, or give you something to post here to help others
here advise you what to do/try.
I just tried it, there are no errors on there.
I have found that if I click the little retry icon the download succeeds
the second time. But the first time it always fails.
The link is here:

It is a bit.ly link which goes to a t.co link which downloads a pdf.
Clicking, first time, on your twitter link took me to Steve Gibson's
Twitter page on which there is a bit.ly link to
https://www.grc.com/sn/SN-610-Notes.pdf which opens in a SeaMonkey
Browser tab for me!!
Sorry, all I can say is .... WFM!! First time!!
