Sean, do you actually have your SeaMonkey installed in
"/opt/seamonkey/seamonkey"??
Most directions say to create a directory named "seamonkey", then
download the tarball to that directory and extract it. That would give
the user "/path/seamonkey/seamonkey".
There is no installer available, but just extracting the tar.bz2 to
the default directory (usually /usr/local/seamonkey) achieves the same
result as an installer would.

I have mine setup a bit differently.
SM 2.46 is in ~/Apps/seamonkey, 2.48b1 is in ~/Apps/seamonkey2.48b1, and
2.49a2 is in ~/App/seamonkey2.49/seamonkey.
The opt directory is an alternative location, and that iswhere my
Vivaldi browser was installed by the installer from the Vivaldi repo.
Yeap, on Linux, I install my SeaMonkey in my /home/Internet/SeaMonkey
location.
But, for some reason, I (mistakenly, I now think) had thought Sean was
building his own version, so may have needed things to be in particular
locations.
Now I see I was probably wrong!! Sorry!
