It looks like it is used for E-mail and newsgroups. I suspect it was installed by an extension, but it might be from malware. Have you recently installed any new or updated software? Have you visited a new Web site or opened an E-mail message that might have done a silent installation of software? Are your anti-mailware application and its database current?
