in notepad++ do View / Show symbol / Show end of line it's the unix
style line ending of LF (\n or 0x0A) instead of the windows CR,LF
Right. So in regular Notepad, which doesn't understand that, you don't
see anything at all; the words just run into each other in one long
paragraph. Hence meagain's hesitation.
