If you want to be on the safe side probably delete all extensions before upgrading and deinstall 1.18.

I would probably install 2.10 and then 2.35 also. This section of the release notes is carried forward with every release and who know when it was last tested... :)

If no email I would start with a fresh profile and import the bookmarks only.

In any case backup the profile as suggested.

It looks like my info was correct. This release note says install 2.0 first then go to 2.48

There needed to be a couple of steps before but I forget which versions.
I know you need at least one interm install, I think it is 2.0.
UnlessĀ  you get a more sure answer my advise would be

1) Download and install MozzBack up. Back up with it first so you can go
back to before an issue if one shows up.
2) Download Seamonkey 2.0 and update to that.
3) download the latest version and update to that.

The other thing that may work is back up with Mozbackup then install the
latest version and use Mozbackup to install your history and settings
into there.

I currently am using Seamonkey version 1.1.18
Can I update to the current version of Seamonkey without losing settings
and saved messages?
