I just dropped my old ISP (Terrible Service - no Service for a week)
and started a new one thru my Telephone Company (some kind of High
Speed Modem thing).

I removed my old account via "Accounts", then went to "create New
Account".
"E-Mail"
etc.

The "New Account" does not appear under the "Name" side on the left.

Can anyone help me ?

Seems I forgot about this old bug.

After creating a news account through clicking a news URL, the
MailNews account wizard may be broken (the account type will always be
News). To work around the problem, set the mail.server.serverX.valid
pref (where X is the internal number of the corresponding news
account) to true in about:config, or delete the invalid news account

<https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.46/>

So, do you see any invalid news accounts?

I think I found my problem !

My new ISP e-mail account is working - when I access it on THEIR e-mail
web site.
They are in Cahoots with Yahoo.............

I saw some link to "my Account" and got on their " XXXXXXX account
editor"

It says that if I want to access the e-mail with an outside program,
that I need to
know it uses OAuth Authorization stuff.

NO WONDER I CAN'T ACCESS THAT E-MAIL !

Alternatively, I can "Create an Application Specific Password".

NOW - I am totally lost !

After further stumbling around their web site - I find that for Mozilla
Thunderbird,
I am required to set up an Application Specific Password" to use with
Thunderbird.

THIS is SeaMonkey !
Would that password work for SM ?

Was a PITA !

DoctorBill

suddenly THE DAMNED THING WORKS !
After spending several hours trying to finger it out - now it works !
PITA POS !

How do you explain THAT ! Entropy reins supreme ! God has a sense of humor....
