I use Seamonkey for newsgroups.
In a post there is a link I click on and the default browser (Firefox) does NOT open, but the Seamonkey browser opens.

I do not like the Seamonkey browser at all !  I find it harder to use and difficult to see.

How do I fix this !

Mozing, what you want is SM Mail & News calling an external Browser, is possible by making a change in SM's preferences. In the SM Browser, enter "about:config" (without the comma's) in the address line.

I was going to tell you what I thought was the necessary change (set one of the prefs, browser.link.open_external, to open a different Browser) but, reading its explanation at http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config_entries#Browser shows that setting does (almost) the opposite to what you want!

Sorry! Maybe someone else, who knows the prefs better than me, will drop by and point you in the right direction.

And, as a by-the-by, your Avast anti-virus has a faulty sig de-limiter. It should be just "-- ", i.e. dash dash space. Avast adds a third dash, so their advertising/promotion is not removed, as it should be. If you go into your Avast setting, you can fix this.
