I just came across this and thought it might interest you.

<https://news.softpedia.com/news/windows-defender-is-the-best-windows-10-antivirus-522035.shtml>
    "German institute AV-TEST’s latest research shows that Windows
Defender has improved detection capabilities and it now blocks most of
the known and zero-day malware on Windows 10."

Oopsie.. the reviewer left off the bit about how the 'German institute
AV-TEST' doesn't rate it as a top product:

You left off the part that the Webroot Secure Anywhere Security doesn't even appear as a product on that list.

Tanks to all (WaltS4, Paul in Houston, TX, and Lee) for your words of wisdom.

I thought it was a bad thing to have two virus scan applications active simultaneously on a system...I only had Webroot active on my system. I am not plugging any software programs but...I have had Webroot on my systems for over five years without a single problem. I thought it would be interesting (when time permits) to turn Webroot off temporarily and then run a Windows Defender full scan against my system.

Well, thanks again for your help...it was much appreciated.
