Clicking on this link brought up a blank tab screen in the browser, then

Still no saved file!! ;-(
Have you tried it with a new profile yet?

Thank you for persisting, Lee. I just swapped into an old (Default)
profile, successfully download SM 2.49.4, checked that the file was
actually on my Hard Disk, and swapped back here.
I guess the installation of SM 2-49-4 will give me a chance to make a
new, new, clean, profile!!
