A SeaMonkey dev had the problem with a different paypal site (gb I think). As far as I know they had a faulty redirect in place. Nothing SeaMonkey can do here.

And I could log-in just a few days ago, so I think PayPal changed something on their side.

Perhaps PayPal expect FireFox 61.0 in your UID ...instead of 52.0

That's probably not it -- it accepts me with SM 2.49.4 (FF 52.0) in my UA 
string.

But the OP noted that paypal.it blocks him while paypal.com admits him. Go figure (allez comprendre).
