Website eats memory

If I let the website https://www.rawstory.com/...  just view in 
SeaMonkey 2.49.4 Memory gets gobbled up slowly but surely. My guess
is that the site is playing all it's little videos at once and loading 
more.  How can I stop it from playing videos?
