I used SM's menu's clear private data to clear all of its histories.
The Private Data window shows four different histories, each separate
from the others: browsing, location bar (address area), download, and
saved formm and search. Before you use [Tools > Private Data], you must
first specify what you mean by "private data" by going to [Edit >
Preferences > Privacy & Security > Private Data]. Did you do that?
