Hi,
my ISP closed its news server, but I had the synchronization ON and
previously downloaded all the messages.
The weird thing is I can't see them in the normal main window, I only
can see their content with cmd-U (view message source).
Why does that happen and how to fix it?
My SM is:
User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:52.0)
Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 SeaMonkey/2.49.4
Build identifier: 20180711181801
Thanx!
Gabriel, when you attempt to view the messages that you have
previously downloaded in the normal main window (and fail), is your
SeaMonkey showing as being on-line?? (there's a little connectoid
thingee down in the bottom-right of screen, indicating if you are
on-line (closed) or off-line (separated))
Ahhhh OK :-)
I was always on-line.
If that connectiod thingee is showing you as on-line, when you select
a message, SeaMonkey tries to get on-line and download the message ...
and fails miserably! I don't know how your Cmd-U fits into this!!
That's why. So also the cmd-U "source" should fail, but it's not. This
is why I didn't think about going offline :-(
Anyway now I removed that server, I'll try with another one to see if it
has the same behaviour.
Thank you.
No prob, Gabriel.
