In a similar mode as available for the newsgroups, where we can expand and collapse all threads at once, is there a way to do the same for the e-mail folders and their sub-folders ?

It looks like Seamonkey stores the folders expansion/collapsing status (which were made manually/individually) to each folder, but I couldn't find a way to override that with just one click for all folders at once.

You can collapse all mail folders for an account by clicking the account name. However, clicking the account name again just restores the previous display state -- those folders that were previously expanded to show subfolders expand again, and those folders that were not expanded just reappear in collapsed form. The same rules apply if you click the triangle to the left of a given folder name -- collapse all subfolders within that folder vs. restore the previous state of all subfolders within that folder.

If you have several accounts, I know of no way to expand all or collapse all with a single click.
