Seamonkey version 2.49.3

When I go t a new website (e.g. ring.com) and enter my login information
(email address and password) this information is NOT saved in password
manager.

In Edit->Preferences->Privacy & Security->Passwords, the 'Remember
passwords' box is checked.  I have unchecked it and restarted Seamonkey
then checked it and restarted Seamonkey.  The password information is
never saved.

Password Manager has saved passwords before, I have many of them already
saved.

There is not nor has there ever been a 'Master Password'.

Any ideas as to how I can get Seamonkey to save this password information?

Some websites block your browser from the password field.
Forcing you to write down/remember your password.

And some users block the saving of passwords, too. Not likely in this case, since the OP says they're "new sites," but you can check whether you've blocked a particular site by doing Tools | Data Manager and pulling down "Permissions only" at the top left. Scroll down to the domain in question, or enter it in the search window at top left, and you might see something like this:

https://online.wellsfargo.com   Save Passwords   (o) Allow (•) Block

(I used to have a WF account, and I never save bank passwords)

If so, and you don't want the site blocked from saving passwords, check the "Allow" or "Use default" options, OK out, and you should be good to go.

Does not apply. Nothing for this domain under permissions
