I understand that this same error is happening to a number of Mozilla
emails, e.g., Thunderbird. Some entry in the Preferences section must
be changed to avoid this. Can anyone help. If not, I'll have to say
goodbye Mozilla.
Found this in the Mozillazine forun:
mail server responded: 5.1.0 Authentication required. You probably need
to configure the smtp server entry to use a username/password, in order
to prove you are a valid user when you try to send a message to somebody
in a different domain.
I should have added it can be found under View Settings for This
Account > Outgoing Server (SMTP)
