I see the same using 2.53.1 on Ubuntu Linux.
Mail, Local, and Feed folders Thread panes have one for the Date, but
all the others are missing. None for the newsgroups.
The tool tips are still there if you hover the mouse over the area where
they were.
As FRG would advise. File a bug report.
