I had in the browser. With apulse-0.1.12-r4. Gentoo mostly stable. >Waterfox 2020.02 has sound...I'm perplexed. Any ideas? I do not know about waterfox. alsa with apulse? Be that as it may. I had no sound regarding mail notification. Very annoying. So I decided a few days ago to install pulseaudio on top of alsa. That required to get rid of apulse. After a few tweaks I am now content.
