First, I greatly appreciate the time, work, effort and patience put into
keeping seamonkey progressing.
I hope to eventually be able to compile it for myself, but not yet.
I have no idea what is wrong with the FF designers, but wow what a mess
they have made of the UI.
Never been a fan of FF, but as long as I could make tabs go away it was
tolerable, and I am still forced to use it sometimes.
Though I vastly prefer the suite approach, I prefer to keep everything
under one roof.
I also greatly appreciate the x64 build, that rocks.
I wish it had been available back when I could still use xp-64, before I
was forced to move to Win7, which I do not consider an upgrade except in
comparison to the current malware M$ is distributing inplace of an OS.
Naturally I keep an eye on memory usage, SM still slows down when usage
exceeds 2Gb, but now it doesn't crash, even when usage touches 4Gb, and
the restart button cleans up the mess.
However, I have run into a couple of puzzling issues.
Download progress dialogs no longer show details.
Just transferred so far, and time.
It used to show speed, which I miss greatly, it is enormessly useful in
keeping track of how my conection is doing.
If in restoring them the ability to see sizes in bytes could be added,
it would be greatly appreciated.
The other oddity is that 'save image' & 'save page as' are no longer
consistently keeping the destinations I set.
Sometimes they work, others they do not, no real pattern so far.
I should note that I have NOTHING in my user profile that I can put
elsewhere, even my SM profile is placed elsewhere.
Everything on 'C:' is disposable, nothing of any value what so ever goes
there at all.
