How can I Bcc: a message to a mailing list? I want to send a "press release" but don't want the recipients to see the other people who are on the list since it contains client information.

If I create a list and in the address book window use the compose button the list names are added to the To: list. If however I compose a message and enter the list name in a Bcc: then the list members are not added to the message and message fails to send.

If you're talking about a local list in your address book, that works fine for me. If the list contains too many entries, my ISP blocks it as possible spam, but that's not SeaMonkey's fault. And if any one or more of the addresses is invalid, my ISP blocks sending until I correct or delete the faulty address. Again, not SeaMonkey's fault.

Here's how to do it (we both have version 2.53.2):

Click the "Address" button on the message composition toolbar, enter the list name in the search window, select it from the hit list, and click the "Bcc->" button. Close the address book and you'll see the list name marked with bcc:. Compose and send your message normally. SM will expand the list name to the individual recipients, but not until you click "Send."
