I did not respond because we did not seem to be on the same subject. And I am beginning to see why.
Another possibility is that you mentioned in another thread ("32 bit vs 64 bit SeaMonkey") that you run multiple SeaMonkey versions using the same profile. This is the kind of strange issue which could conceivably be caused by doing that, if the format in which sessions are saved changes between versions.
My point on that thread was, that there was a time when I could do that with impunity because things were not changed "quietly" that caused an issue.
Here is what I get from the X in the upper right corner, which has always been the standard way to close any Windows "window".
