Liz, A couple of observations. First the intent is that the HOME page
provide information and a starting point but that data entry is to be done
on the "data entry" or other internal layouts. So not being able to enter
data on the HOME page is not a bug, "it's a feature".

It sounds like you made changes that "disconnected" one or more calculated
fields on the HOME page from the data you want to show up in it. Given the
changes you made are not too extensive, and you give me specific information
regarding the changes you, made I can probably give you instructions to
bring eBase to "normal" and let you start over with everything working as
designed.
