I have what appears to be the same problem. I typed in a few records,
and ebase was OK for about a week. Completely mysteriously, it stopped
working.

Now whenever I attempt to start it, it hangs and brings the entire
system to an unusable crawl (the mouse moves in tiny increments every
few seconds, etc). No ebase-related window appears at all.
Furthermore, even after I kill ebase using Ctrl-Alt-Del, various
programs start to malfunction which *never* do so otherwise. After a
reboot, these problems with other programs go away.

I have ebase 1.03 that I just downloaded recently, Win98, PIII 500MHz,
128MB RAM, a few GB still available on disk.

Please help. Otherwise, I may have to stop using ebase.
