Hi All.

I'm new to this, and I have several
(hopefully stupid and therefore easy to
  answer) questions.

  1. I'm behind a firewall, but can probably
get a port number opened up (19114). Is there
a way to find other servers on this port number.
I'm assuming that I need only the one port number.

  2. How do I test the software - can I submit
a file (e.g. a word doc) to the network? Can I
request a file by name - or do I need to know
some key type and resource name? Hmmm, or have
  I completely mis understood?

  3. The large number of port numbers used, makes
life extremely difficult for those of us behind
firewalls. Can I request that only a limited
number of port numbers be used in future revisions
of the software please. I guess like most
in my situation, I can ask for a few port numbers
to be opened up, but I don't have direct control
of the firewall, so I have to be seen to be
  behaving responsibly etc.

  4. Just a thought, but if I use an already open
port number (like port 80 which is usually http),
is this likely to work, or cause havoc :-)
Hmmm, maybe it an irrelevent question, because
I still couldn't get out to others using different
  port numbers.

I have read some of the documentation, but this
is already a complex project, and it's going
to take some time to become properly familiar.

  Cheers,
  Gary.
