This seems to be happening to a lot of people. Notsure if there's been
an official statement about it, but I figured I'd mention how I fixed
it, as it's pretty simple.

On win2k, at least, try pointing your java.exe and javaw.exe paths to
the programs in you r windows directory. If you have the latest
version of microsoft's java apps (windowsupdate.microsoft.com), you
should find everything will be peachy again.

Obviously not all JRE's are made equal...
