Just to be clear: Freenet is a networked storage system. It's not like
Napster or Gnutella, where your data goes into your local store, and
then gets shared with the world. Data stored in Freenet goes INTO the
network. So, if you're not connected to the rest of the world, you
really can't get anything inserted or requested.

(OK, that's not STRICTLY true -- you can set up your node for "local
only" usage, but it'd be a pain in the butt and pretty useless.)
