The diskCache size isn't a hard limit on the data store.  When you
restart your node, the data store will be trimmed down to fit inside
your diskCache size, but during normal operation there appears to be no
limit on its growth.

I personally recommend making a dedicated file system (partition) for
Freenet, if your operating system supports it and if your disk layout
can be arranged to do so without undue hardship.

(Either that, or just have a whole wad of free space available for it
to eat into.)
