The Freenet reference implementation is written in Java. If there is a Java Runtime Environment (preferably compatible with Sun's 1.3 version) then you should be able to run a Freenet node, and many of the clients, on BeOS. I'd also imagine that it's probably pretty easy to build David McNab's fcptools on BeOS -- they're written in pretty standard C with only a few Unix-like extensions (mostly sockets and threads). -- Greg Wooledge | "Truth belongs to everybody."
