Open an MS-DOS prompt.  Then use DOS commands (CD for change directory,
etc.)  to navigate to the Freenet directory.  Usually this will be:

  c:
  cd myprog~1
  cd freenet

Once you're in that directory, you can use any sort of file viewing or
editing program.  The most basic one is "more", which you can use in
this way:

  more <myown.ref

(DOS's more command cannot open files by name; they have to be piped in,
hence the less-than sign.)  If you prefer a more powerful environment,
then you can use an editor:

  edit myown.ref

Or you can download any sort of editor or viewer you wish to use.  DOS
doesn't come with anything very good.
