How many nodes are in your seednodes.ref file? (And where did you get it?) TFE has a bunch of seed nodes on it, so if you can get there, you'll be in much better shape. This presents a chicken-and-egg problem. I've got a node at work (on a Win95 box) that can usually get TFE. I haven't been running Freenet at home lately (it beats the living hell out of a Linux 2.2 box because 2.2 doesn't deal with massively multithreaded Java apps very well).
