Thanks for the reply. I tried that, but no dice. I then deleted the whole freenet 
install, got today's snapshot, and started over. Now, I'm getting zillions of "socket 
closed" and "I/O error in servlet" messages. This is running with the Sun JDK. I think 
I will try reverting to Kaffe next...it's barely working at all right now.
