No one has given me any clues as to what may be wrong with my usual downloads.
I cannot restart one.  I suspect a conflict of java versions, but that is only a guess.
Since I needed to restart today I did an automatic download using the
freenetwebinstall.exe I had and the copy it brought down does not run.  I see
no way at www.freenetproject.org to select among possible versions.  I presume there
is an inner circle that keeps usable copies of previously compiled versions (some
messages seem to imply there are multiple versions available) but it is not at all
obvious where one finds them (sort of like asking a friend for a key if the regular ones
don't work or give a problem).

May I second the motion that we really do need some documentation.  If not for those
of the inner circle, at least for those stopping by to examine the accessible product
as it undergoes development for the next -- well, the rest of my lifetime since I'm not a
teenager any more.
