This might not be a Freenet problem, but it is preventing me using a great
idea.

I have been running Freenet successfully for about two months, under
Windows2000, and on a fairly well spec'ed PC. It has been learning really well.
Yesterday, FN crashed while I was updating the snapshot, which I have done
successfully before, every two or three days.
There was another app running at the time, a web WISIWIG editor, and this
might have caused the problem.
Now, FN can't see the Java VM.
I have downloaded and installed the latest files from Sun, three times, and
Java works in the various browsers and the demos that Sun provides. But
when I try to reinstall Freenet it gets two thirds of the way through the
progress bar and stops. The message says that the Main Class cannot be
found. And, subsequently, there is a "have you really installed java?" message.
I need some ideas on where to look for the problem, which is probably on my
PC somewhere, as a result of the original crash. Do I have to reinstall
Windows and start again? Or is there anything I could try, before doing a
day or so of work to reinstall everything?
