Last two days have been pretty good for me. I'm using Netscape successfully as my broser with Earthlink.net as ISP. Node is transient. I get some System Errors, but have reached THE, and three or four information sites and one very large graphic site.
I cannot get to the Gateway using Mozilla with Earthlink.net as ISP. I can also get to Gateway using Earthlink.net software which is a peculiar adaptations of I.E., but had difficulty getting past the warning before trying to get to THE (just stops, not really a hang, just won't advance).
I still have trouble at every exit from Freenet tray icon. Must download again from server and then system will come up and functions as above.
Had trouble with Frost about two weeks ago and have not gone back to try that. Don't want to get too depressed.
Still hope someone will explain how all the insert methods and site insertion works when all becomes stable again. I've never solved that, nor figure out the message system that is used on some of the sites.
But in many respect things have been looking up with the Windows implementation. Can't say I've been brave enough to tackle the Linux approach yet. (I don't' yet use Linux for web browsing.)
