No, I have root but haven't had to drop into it to do anything. I just did the regular install back with 525. Really, I just need to figure out how to create a SSK so I can inject my freesite under it.

are you trying to install as non-root user?
Freenet nodes should never be *run* with root permissions,
but you'll need to install them as root.
