I am using build 533 with j2re1.4.1_01 from sun on my debian woody
server. setup and tuning worked fine, but one last problem remains:
I am not able to connect from remote hosts to the node (localhost:8888
works). I modified fcpHosts for allowed hosts but this didnt help. I
checked the FAQ and found the fproxy.bindAddress=* option, but this
seems to be deprecated, as the log file shows:
"Ignoring obsolete fproxy.* lines in freenet.conf/ini. You can remove
them."
The only external error message I can get is from lynx ("Unexpected
network read error"), other browsers just don't connect. I can telnet
to the port, so it seems to be open?
And I turned off my firewall completely for testing, to ensure that this
doesn't cause the error.
Please, can anyone help me with this?
