Winston was always interesting, but should one not at least "consider" or
"examine" all the available alternatives in order to run a reasonable
chance of selecting the right one.  And perhaps just as bad, if one is
lucky enough to guess which is right without examining any others will one
not learn almost nothing about selecting the most desirable from
alternatives for other problems.
One seems to learn to solve problems by solving many problems (some with
errors) as opposed to just being lucky.
