I first installed "j2sdk-1_4_2-nb-3_5_1-bin-linux.bin" into /home/philtr, of course...my home directory. Then I tried installing freenet into /home/philtr/j2sdk_nb/j2sdk.1.4.2/, the subdirectory "jre" in this directory. No luck! Then I tried going up the tree untill I was in my home directory. Nothing! Each time freenet couldn't find the executable, "jre".
Where should each be installed? In what directory is freenet looking to find "jre"? Can I get to a path variable in freenet to tell it where to look? I tried the support archive but, that was "forbidden" fruit. Thanks in advance for your help. phil
