Just as I know that freenet is a "research project" I also know that I should run it using Sun's Java 1.4. But I run a linux powerpc box so my options are limited to either IBM Java 1.4 or opensource alternatives. Therefore, I'm interested in hearing anyone's experience running freenet using the classpath libs. They're pretty substantial and have also implemented the java.nio (?) classes, unlike the gjc projects libs.
