Hi everyone.

I've been using the freenet for sometime now (not sure how long, 6
months or so I expect), but generally what I am able to do is keep my
node running rather than publish freesites or even 'surf' (if the is
the 'free' word to use...?) freesites.

I've got a 512/256kbps connection, and have set the freenet a 5 gig
data store. I update the snapshot at least 4 times a week, and have a
poke around the freenet now and again, as I don't really have enough
time idle to play with it in any great depth.

The main thing I want to add to the freenet at the moment is my node,
in the hope that it will make the network faster for others and so help
the uptake of the system. I do not have the funds to donate to the
project, or the time to become a regular participant, but believe
strongly in the ideals of the project and would like to help it take
off. Recently my main concern has been that my 'load' has either been
very low (5-15%) or very high (92-98%) for days on end, which I am not
sure is a sign of a healthy node... (I don't claim much technical
knowledge, I am more interested in the ethical side)

So is there anything in particular I should be doing to help improve
my nodes usefulness? Would it perhaps help if I were to dedicate more
time to browsing freesites, therefore getting my node recognised by
others, for example? Or should I just give all the bandwidth and data
space possible? Any advice would be appreciated, as recently I have
noticed that the network has been becoming less 'beginner-friendly'
due to speed issues, which can of course not be a good thing, and I am
keen to help in any way I can.

Hope this is intelligable to all, English is not my first language...
