Ooops, actually just had to restart the node with the stop/start sh script and the real memory being used was 138MB. Can the real memory used be limited? If the real memory limit is set at 100MB will the web client crap out at that level? Is the freenet web client crappping out because of the over all system memory, or is the Java application failing because of the over all system memory.
May node has 640MB total and 20Gig of disk space (most not used) and the system does not crash as long as I keep Java 1.4.1 installed. All the same behaviors occurred as above except the whole system would crash when when Java 1.4.2 is installed. Otherwise, Freenet looks like it's running much better with build 5072, but there are still lots of sites which are not very reachable even after days of trying.
